 The
Gardon is a beautiful river which winds its way through the surrounding
valleys. The gorges of the Gardon may not be quite as stunning as
those of the Ardeche, but they are, nevertheless, well worth a visit.
A few kilometers from the Bastide des Pins there are some fine rock-climbing
sites and it is also possible to rent canoes if you would like to
take a trip on the river. You can also choose to visit the area on
horseback, thanks to the many horse-riding centers which you can find
locally.
There is a large selection of walks in and around the Pont du Gard
(information available at the Bastide des Pins).
Please ask us for details if you would like to visit some of the
historical sites.
We can supply you with canoes if you would like to visit parts
of the river close to the house.

Please let us know when you make your reservation if you would like to rent mountain bikes. It is possible to book a game of tennis on one of the courts which is 800m from the house. There is also a selection of board games for your amusement, in the unlikely event of rain. La Bastide des Pins also has a ping-pong table and a set of French bowls.
